Robert Baker, PAC recently joined Walsh Urology with over thirty years experience in General surgery and the sub-specialties. He spent fifteen years in Urology managing patients in all aspects of care including medical and surgical. he has considerable interest in male health issues especially sexual health and dysfunction.
His undergraduate education was at Marquette University and the was in the first Physician Assistant class at Touro College Physician Assistant Program, graduating in 1974.
Since relocating to the west coast from New York City he has practiced in the Bay area, Riverside, Ca. and most recently Palm Springs. He has been on staff at Desert Regional Medical Center, High Desert Medical Center and Eisenhower Medical Center.
When not seeing patients or assisting in surgery, he spends time with his wife Shizue Shimizu-Baker a native to Tokyo, Japan who is an educator and his daughter Sydney Baker a practicing Physician Assistant in Cardio-thoracic Surgery in the New York metropolitan area.
His avocation is music and dance an accomplished percussionist in the Jazz and Afro-Cuban genres.
